DescriptionThe Quarto trims the briefcase to a single slim gusset: 9 mm of leather-framed depth for a 13-inch laptop, a folio of documents and a charger. The flap closes on hidden brass magnets set behind a stiffened counter, so the face of the folio stays perfectly flat. Edges are hand-burnished, dyed and waxed in four passes - the finish you judge a maker by.

Most folios bulge where the closure hardware sits. The Quarto recesses its brass magnets behind a stiffened counter panel, so the front reads as one unbroken plane of full-grain leather. Under a train seat or a boardroom table, it stays composed.
